Glimmer and glamour galore – that was the scene at the preview of Alchemy of Light, the exhibition at Les Tresors art gallery at Atria Millennium Mall, in association with Midas Touch, a group show by contemporary artists exploring the transformative language of metal leaf.
The happy host of this pulsating preview was artist and curator Bina Aziz, who warmly greeted each and every guest, all from the who’s who of the city and beyond (too many to mention). Fine wine was in full flow, complemented by hors d’oeuvres from Flamboyante.
The cocktail chatter was well and truly on, and guests had a good look at the exhilarating exhibits by Archana Srivastava, Arzan Khambatta, Bina Aziz, Jaya Lamba, Laila Khan, Sharvari Luth, Shola Carletti, and Venkatesh Pate. Inaugurated by Mangal Prabhat Lodha, the exhibition is on till May 11.
Alchemy of Light is not just about a medium; it is about how metal, in its raw and reflective state, becomes a metaphor for inner illumination. A defining highlight of the exhibition is the use of gold, silver, copper, and champagne leafing, presented in collaboration with Shehzad Khan of Midas Touch. These metallic elements lend a rich, tactile brilliance to the works, elevating the visual narrative and reinforcing the exhibition’s central idea of transformation through light. Alchemy of Light -A group show of * artists curated by Bina Aziz in collaboration with Midas Touch at Les Tresors Art Gallery had many eminent personalities from all walks of life attending the Preview. on 11th April. From Corporates to Govt. officials to film personalities, Doctors, Singers ,artists, art collectors and art lovers . This was an evening to remember where metal leafing is the metaphor for illumination and self transformation. Gold leafing being an ancient art form which speaks of the divine and the sacred. Curating Alchemy of Light has been a journey of discovering how beautifully light lives within each artist

Titled ‘THE ART SHOW at SIMONE’, the opening of this exclusive event on 29th September 2023,brought together a select group of art enthusiasts, collectors and influencers for a memorable evening
Simone possesses a distinct and unparalleled sense of style. She is a perfectionist in every aspect and each artifact and piece in her store is one of a kind.When I curated the art for her I had to consider her sensibilities,style and the artists who would seamlessly blend with her unique vision.These artworks were placed in her classic style, in the perfect spaces, harmonising with the colour combinations of her furnishings and artifacts .
The piece de resistance was the beautiful blue M.F. Husain painting painted by the Master in 2005 at the Pundole Art Gallery. Displayed for the first time at SIMONE
Brimming with beauty and inspiration each participating artist expressed themselves brilliantly ,be it in charcoal, acrylic,oil or photography ,using different mediums unveiling their stories on canvas and paperwork in their own inimitable style.
A visual treat to all ,the artworks can be viewed till December 30th 2024, at the store.

Bina along with Mrs Zarine Khan organised an art exhibition titled ‘Functional Art’ to raise funds for the ‘Make a Wish Foundation’ at Tradition Art in October 2010. Mr. Sanjay Khan (Seen below) generously granted all the wishes of the terminally ill children.
Bina helped curate & organise the Art Exhibition of International Sculptor Lorenzo Quinn
Bina helped set up the new Gallery along with well known Architect Pronit Nath, and the launch of the first art exhibition there of eminent sculptor Lorenzo Quinn, whilst coordinating with UK gallery Halcyon & the India bulls team. It was a humongous task cause it was the first time sculptures of that scale by an International artist was to be shipped from the UK to India giving all art lovers a visual treat. Bina’s expertise in the art world helped in the smooth execution of the same.

Inaugurated by Mrs Priya Dutt and Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj
Pandit ji explained how Om and Allah emanates from deep down in the body and sang a bandish, ‘Mero Allah Meherban’, Extempo.
He also explained how Om becomes Allah when turned to 90 degrees.
